2009 - Mayor Kennedy by 27

Lynn, MA

Angered by Mayor Clancy's successful push to roll back closing hours for bars in Lynn, bar owners, gays and straights, started a petition and later actively supported the write in campaign for Judy Flanagan Kennedy. Kennedy won by 27 votes, becoming the city's first female mayor but did not reverse the rollback once she was in office.
