George Chakoutis, “a phenomenon of fundraising,” and Keith Willams, owners of 47 Central, along with Dan Mahoney raise money for many charities. 47 Central was open from 1998 to 2012. 2004 - Unions back gay benefits

Lynn unions, IUE-CWA Local 201 and Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 509 backed benefits for same-sex partners. Initially the IBEW insisted that benefits were only for heterosexuals. North Shore Labor Council President Jeff Crosby states that no other union is blocking same-sex couples from health and pension benefits.
