About Rev'd Greg Perez

The Rev’d Gregory G. Perez, a native Texan, was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in July of 1986 in Austin, Texas.  Greg served 13 years in Texas and in December of 1998, left the Roman Catholic priesthood after meeting his husband of 24 years, Douglas Flores.  Having worked in various non-profit jobs for five years, Greg made the decision to pursue ministry again, but this time in the Episcopal Church.  In the summer of 2003, Greg and Douglas moved to New Jersey, where his Holy Orders were received into the Anglican Communion, in the Episcopal Diocese of Newark.  In the height of the pandemic, Greg and Douglas, relocated to Massachusetts with their two furry kids, Sweet Pea and Charlie.  Douglas is employed by Project Bread as the COO, and Greg is the Priest in Charge at St. Stephen’s Memorial Episcopal Church in Lynn.  Greg and Doug reside in Swampscott.
